The faculty of the NSO School of Music and the Orchestra of Exploration are happy to announce our first Rock to Classics summer camp here in Northfield.
ALL INSTRUMENTS WELCOME!
Young musicians between 9 - 16 years of age who play guitar, bass, drums and keyboard will be working on original Rock and Pop, and Jazz compositions and covers. Strings, woodwind, brass and percussion will be placed in chamber ensembles depending on their level of playing. The camp will focus on developing listening skills, practicing techniques, musicianship, ensemble playing, introduction to recording and music notation software. Modern teaching tools including video screens will be used in the everyday activities. Detailed schedule of classes and events will be emailed upon receipt of registration form. Participants can enroll for one or more weeks.
Tuition is $450 per week and $395 for each additional week. There is a $50 discount for siblings.
